A two-day-old baby died in Sri Lanka's Central Highlands area as the country's fuel crisis worsened. Her father couldn't find petrol for his tuk-tuk to drive her to the hospital. Sri Lanka is battling to raise funds to import fuel and other necessities. India has aided Sri Lanka on multiple occasions, most recently providing 40,000 metric tonnes of diesel under a credit line arrangement on May 21.

Singer Aditya Narayan and actor Shweta Agarwal shared good  news of being parents to a baby girl. The singer took to Instagram on March 4, and posted a picture with caption, "Shweta & I feel extremely grateful to share that the almighty has blessed us with a beautiful baby daughter on 24.2.22."  Fans and friends of the couple poured their wishes and congratulatory messages for the newborn.  

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were blessed with a baby girl on June 4 at California's Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. By naming the newborn as Lilibet 'Lili' Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, Harry paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth and his late mother Princess Diana. As the news became public, the Royals including Prince William and Prince Charles, along with UK PM Boris Johnson, sent their best wishes to the couple. 

In a dreadful incident, a baby girl was found abandoned on the roadside in Uttar Pradesh' Meerut district after being stuffed in three gunny bags. However, the baby was rescued when the passers by heard her crying. The rescuers called the police and the infant was rushed to a hospital, where she is recovering. A video of the incident has also went viral where people can be seen taking out the baby from the sacks.
