Indian Shuttler Pronoy HS entered the quarter-finals of Japan Open 2022, on September 1. The Olympic Gold Medalist, Pronoy defeated Singapore's Loh Kean Yew and made India proud. With this, Pronoy secures his spot in the men's single match at Badminton Japan Open. With this, Prpnoy HS will face Chinese Taipei's Chou Tien Chen in the semi-finals. Indian player Lakshya Sen followed PV Sindhu in winning the badminton men's singles final gold with a win over Ng Tze Yong of Malaysia at the Commonwealth Games 2022 on August 8. Lakshya made it to the men's singles final after beating Jia Heng Teh of Singapore in the semifinal and won a gold medal at the CWG, in Birmingham, England, United Kingdom.
