Special Court Rejects Bail Cancellation Plea Against Bharti Singh, Harsh Limbhachiya
A Special NDPS Act court in Mumbai has rejected the Narcotics Control Bureau’s (NCB) plea seeking cancellation of the bail of comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbhachiya in a drug case. VV Patil, special judge for cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act rejected the plea, amid lack of evidence. The couple was arrested in November 2020 after 86.5 grams of ganja (cannabis)

Maharashtra Hanuman Chalisa Row Couple Files Joint Reply Amid Bail Cancellation
Maharashtra's "Hanuman Chalisa" row couple appeared before a special court in Mumbai, after the state police demanded cancellation of bail. On June 15, MP Navneet Rana, MLA Ravi Rana, booked under sedition charges, filed their joint reply in this regard, saying police had failed to give a "cogent reason" for seeking cancellation of their bail, as they followed bail conditions. Moreover, the matter has been adjourned to June 27.
