Amritpal Singh To Surrender, Punjab Police On Alert
Pro-Khalistani leader Amritpal Singh is likely to surrender on April 7. The surrender is expected to be before Akal Takht Conference. In this regard, the Punjab Police has issued an extensive alert and high security across the state of Punjab. The fugitive Khalistani is on run since March and has escaped the huge force of Punjab Police. Meanwhile, Singh is releasing videos, claiming to appear before the world soon.

CJI Ramana Visits Golden Temple With Family On Baisakhi: Amritsar
Chief Justice of India NV Ramana with his family, visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar, on April 14. Marking the occasion of Baisakhi, Ramana said, "My good wishes for Baisakhi. I am very happy today, my lifetime dream came true as my family members and I reached the Golden Temple. I thank the managing committee". After the Golden Temple, CJI Ramana also visited the BSF museum and the Attari-Wagah Border.

Sikh Jatha Group Leaves For Lahore Ahead Of Baisakhi
A contingent of Sikh Jatha has left Punjab for Pakistan, to celebrate Baisakhi in Lahore. One of the devotees rued that out of the 900 visa permit applications, only 705 permits could be approved, and hence, some devotees would miss the chance of Guru Drashan. Another pilgrim expressed the need for unity between the two neighbouring countries, and a relaxation in visa-related requirements.

Amir Khan, Kareena Kapoor's 'Laal Singh Chaddha' Gets New Release Date
The makers of Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer ''Laal Singh Chaddha'' announced the new release date of the film on November 20. Aamir Khan Productions set the release date of the move on April 14, 2022. ''We're happy to share our new poster and our new release date,'' wrote the production on Twitter. The movie is a love story based on the 1994 Tom Hanks blockbuster ''Forrest Gump''.

US: Congress Introduces Resolution To Recognise Baisakhi In The House
