Bajaj Auto Board Approves Buyback Programme Worth Rs 2,500 Crores

Bajaj Auto Ltd  approved a share buyback programme for an aggregate amount of up to Rs 2,500 crore. On June 27, the Bajaj Board of directors held a meeting and approved the buyback of the fully paid-up equity shares with a face value of Rs 10 each from existing shareholders. However, the buyback will not exceed Rs 4,600 per equity share and an aggregate amount of Rs 2,500 crores.

Bajaj Auto Inaugurates New EV Plant At Pune's Akrudi

Bajaj Auto inaugurated its newly built EV manufacturing plant at Pune's Akrudi. The new plant is expected to receive an investment of Rs 750 crore and spreads over half a million square feet. Moreover, the new plant is expected to generate employment for 11,000 people. The plant was inaugurated on June 10, on the birth anniversary of late Shri Rahul Bajaj.

Bajaj Auto Former Chairman Rahul Bajaj Passes Away

Rahul Bajaj (83), the former Chairman of Bajaj Group, died on February 12. "It is with deep sorrow, I inform you about the passing away of Shri Rahul Bajaj, husband of late Rupa Bajaj", said Bajaj Group. Rahul Bajaj died while undergoing treatment for Pneumonia. Meanwhile, Rahul Bajaj, who resigned as Bajaj Chairman in 2021, held the position for 40-years and was also an awardee of Padma Bhushan (2001).

Updated Dominar 400 Launched At Rs 2.16 Lakh In India

The updated version of Dominor 400 has been launched in India by Bajaj Auto. The bike is equipped with a 373.3cc engine which produces 40 PS of power. Reportedly, the company has made it more comfortable for city riders and long-distance tourers, pricing at Rs 2.16 lakh (ex-showroom). ''Customers have pushed the bike into long-distance...which inspired us to strengthen...the new Dominar,'' said Narayan Sundararaman from Bajaj Auto.

Bajaj Auto confirmed the launch of Bajaj Pulsar 250 on October 28, a week before Diwali. Experts believe that the 250cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine will put out 28hp and 20NM of peak torque. Pulsar 250 comes with a projector headlamp, monoshock rear suspension, telescopic front forks, alloy wheels and other exciting features. The motorcycle is expected to be priced around Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom).

Separate Subsidiary For EVs Worth Rs 100 Cr Proposed: Bajaj Auto

In a race to win the Electric Vehicles (EV) space in the market, Bajaj Auto, India's leading two-wheeler manufacturer and exporter is planning to set up a fully-owned subsidiary in the electric and hybrid two-wheeler, three-wheeler, and light four-wheeler categories. It will propose an authorized capital of Rs 100 crore, the company said. The name of the entity and approval from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs is still pending.
