Punjab Court Summons Mallikarjun Kharge In Defamation Case

A Punjab court on Monday summoned Congress party chief Mallikarjun Kharge in a Rs 100 cores defamation case over the party equating the banned Islamic outfit Popular Front of India (PFI) with the Bajrang Dal, the youth wing of the Sangh-affiliated Vishwa Hindu Parishad, in its Karnataka Assembly election manifesto. In this regard, a case was registered against the INC President. Hitesh Bharadwaj filed the case against Mallikarjun Kharge.

Traffic police deployed and heavy restriction has been imposed in Hyderabad, amid the Hanuman Jayanti procession, organized by Bajrang Dal. On April 6, marking the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, the Dal organized a yatra, which is scheduled from 11:30 AM., and will cover a 12 km yatra, ending at 8;00 pm. Participated by devotees, the yatra will begin from Gowliguda and will conclude at Hanuman Temple at Tadbund.

Two Men Charred In Bolero, Families Blames Bajrang Dal

In Haryana's Bhiwani district, two men identified as Nasir (25,) and Junaid (35) were charred in a car, Bolero, confirmed police on February 17. As per sources, the two men were abducted from Bharatpur district of Rajasthan by men said to be cow vigilantes alleged to be members of Bajrang Dal. The families of the deceased registered a complaint with the police against five people of Bajrang Dal.

Bajrang Dal activists have filed an FIR against Actor Sai Pallavi over her remarks about Kashmiri pandits. Reportedly, in an interview to a YouTube channel, she "compared Kashmiri pandits' genocide to cow vigilantism". Though her comments erupted a massive outrage, some continued to support her. 6 Arrested For Bajrang Dal Activist Harsha's Murder In Karnataka

Six people are held by police in connection with the murder of a 26-year-old Bajrang Dal activist Harsha Nagara, in the Shivamogga district of Karnataka. ''Four were directly involved in the murder while two were part of the conspiracy,'' stated the Superintendent. In addition, Section 144 is extended by two more days while all educational institutes will remain shut in the district. Notably, Harsha was attacked by an armed group.

4 Cattle Smugglers Arrested For Firing At Bajrang Dal Activists In Manesar; Cow Rescued

The police on February 21, stated that they have arrested four cattle smugglers for allegedly firing at the Bajrang Dal activists, in Manesar area of Haryana. After the arrest, a cow which was tied to their pick up jeep, was rescued. Inspector Naresh Kumar said, "We have nabbed all four and have recovered an illegal weapon from one accused. Reportedly, an FIR has been filed under various sections of IPC.

UP Right-Wing Leader Files An FIR Against Twitter's Manish Maheshwari

In an FIR filed in Uttar Pradesh, Twitter India Chief Manish Maheshwari has been named against the incorrect display of the Indian Map. Reportedly, the map displayed J&K and Laddak as different countries. However, the incorrect map was removed from its website on June 28, after a complaint filed by the Bajrang Dal leader Praveen Bhati. "It is an act of treason," said Mr. Bhati.

Bihar: Minister Faces Charges Of Conspiracy, Murder

Bihar's minister Ramsewak Singh has been booked for conspiracy and murder charges under IPC sections 120B and 302. He is accused of murdering Bajrang Dal member Jai Bahadur Singh who was shot dead in Mirganj. The deceased's grandson, in his complaint, alleged that Ramsewak killed Jai Bahadur as the latter opposed the minister's campaign to vote for Janata Dal (United). However, the minister said, "My name has been wrongly dragged."
