Cyclone 'Yaas' Likely To Make Landfall At Odisha Around May 26 Noon

According to the IMD forecasts, the Cyclone Yaas as named by Oman will likely make a landfall at the Odisha and Bengal coast around May 26 noon. With state governments already watchful over the conditions, the Indian Coast Guard have been deployed to deal with cyclone urging people to stay safe. The authorities have also requested people out in the sea to return to land as soon as possible.

India's First Thunderstorm Research Testbed To Be Set Up In Odisha

The IMD is planning to build the country’s first thunderstorm research testbed in Odisha’s Balasore in collaboration with Earth Science ministry, DRDO and ISRO.
