Russia’s Putin, Ukraine’s Zelenskyy To Attend G20 Summit In Bali
Russian president Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy have agreed to attend the G20 Summit in Indonesia’s Bali. This will become the first time both the leaders share a common platform, since the beginning of the war. The summit is scheduled to be held on November 15 and 16. Indonesia’s ambassador to UAE Husin Bagis said, “we are deciding which hotels to put them up in”.

Bali Plans To Change Quarantine Rules For International Travelers
Bali is reopened to all international travelers from February with mandatory three-day quarantine. However, the Indonesian government is planning to remove the quarantine and to begin visa-on-arrival process for international tourists. Bali Welcomes Foreign Tourists From All Countries; Quarantine Mandatory
Bali has resumed direct international flights for foreign travelers from all countries for the first time after Covid-19 Pandemic. Bali To Reopen For Foreign Travellers From Feb 4
Bali is reopening from February 4, and the quarantine period is reduced to five days from the earlier seven for jabbed tourists. As per reports, the country seeks to sustain economic recovery and revive tourism. The decision came three months after Indonesia allowed nationals from a handful of countries to enter Bali and the Riau Islands. Notably, visitors will be able to use direct/connecting flights to visit the island.

PV Sindhu Defeated By South Korean Player In BWF 2021 Finals
Indian Badminton Star PV Sindhu was defeated by South Korea's An Se-Young in the BWF World Tour finals on December 5. An Se-Young scored 21-16 against Sindhu's 21-12 in the final round of the match, which lasted 39 minutes. The BWF Finals Tour 2021 started on December 1 and concluded on December 5, with the victory of South Korea. The event was held in Bali Convention Centre, Indonesia.

Librarian In Indonesia Lends Books In Exchange Of Trash
Raden Roro Hendarti, a Librarian in Indonesia's Java island has started lending books to children in exchange for trash. The librarian has been reported to distribute books going from place to place using a three-wheeler, and collect 100 kg of trash every week, which is then sorted and sent for recycling. According to her statement, she wants to inculcate reading in kids and make them aware of the environment.

College in Bali Allows Students To Pay Coconut in Lieu of Tuition Fees
One of the hospitality college in Bali, Indonesia has allowed financially struggling students to pay fees in the form of 'coconuts and other natural produce'. The Venus One Tourism Academy claimed, “We have to educate them to optimize the natural resources in their surroundings. So when the pandemic is over, they would be more than just a common workers". The decision was taken after students failed to pay in installments.

Indonesia Unlikely to Open Bali for Tourism in 2020
Indonesia's tourism hub, Bali, is likely to remain closed for the rest of the year for international tourists owing to the coronavirus pandemic. Reportedly, any kind of non-essential travel from foreign countries will not be allowed until late 2020. Putu Astawa, head of the Bali Provincial Tourism Office cited continued ban on the entry of foreign tourists, imposed by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, as the reason.
