2 Tourists Including Govt Officer Kidnapped From Famous Tourist Spot Ziarat: Pakistan

In Pakistan's Balochistan, two tourists including a government official were kidnapped from the famous tourist spot of Ziarat, on July 13. Reportedly, the he tourists were from Karachi, and visited the town along with their family members. According to The Express Tribune, the kidnappers who were armed men, left their family members. Protests Erupt In Pakistan's Singh Province Over Water Crisis

In Tharparkar district of Pakistan's Sindh province, dozens of people staged a protest against the ongoing water crisis in Mithi town. The protestors claimed that due to the water crisis, people are forced to buy water cans at exorbitant rates. Also, farmers in Sindh and Balochistan provinces took it to a level ahead by blocking major highways and demanding for a release of water from the Indus river.

6 Militants Killed In Pakistan's Balochistan Province

Pakistani security forces killed six terrorists during an operation conducted by the Counter-Terrorism Department in the Balochistan province. 2 Pakistani Soldiers Killed In Terrorist Attack: Balochistan

Earthquake Strikes Southern Pakistan; 20 Dead, 200 Wounded

Earthquake struck southern Pakistan early in the morning of October 7 while people were sleeping. It killed nearly 20 people, and more than 200 were wounded. Many of the casualties were killed when roofs and walls fell following the 5.7 magnitude earthquake that hit the Balochistan region, with a power-outage requiring health-personnel to treat the injured with flashlights. The most hit location was Harnai and was also felt in Quetta.
