Highlighting the importance of masks, Indian Council of Medical Research chief Balram Bhargava on November 28 has said that masks work as a vaccine and would stay even after the vaccination. Addressing a webinar, Balram added, "India will develop a vaccine, not just for itself but for 60% of the developing nations". Touting mask as a ''Fabric vaccine'', Balram has emphasized its importance in keeping the COVID-19 recovered patients safe.
