SC Issues Notice To West Bengal Over Ban On "The Kerala Story"

The Supreme Court (SC) has issued an order to the West Bengal Government regarding the ban of "The Kerala Story". Notably, the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress (TMC) banned the screening of the Sudipto Sen directed movie citing "maintenance of peace" in the State. Donald Trump Is Back On Social Media After 2 Year Ban

After facing a two year ban from Facebook, YouTube and Twitter, the former USA President Donald Trump is finally back. On March 17, Trump took to Facebook and YouTube and said, "I AM BACK!". He further said, "Sorry to keep you waiting. Complicated business." It is to be noted in 2021, Trump's social media handle were banned amid his violent posts, which allegedly provoked violence in the states.

BCCI Reduces Ban Of RR PLayer Ajit Chandila To 7 Years

The BCCI Ombudsman Vineet Saran has reduced former Rajasthan Royal player Ajit Chandila's life ban. On February 21, Saran announced a reduction of a ban to 7 years, for his involvement in the IPL 2013 spot-fixing scandal. The three cricketers involved in that ‘spot-fixing’ scam – S Sreesanth, Ankeet Chavan and Chandila were given a life ban. However, the bans of Sreesanth and Chavan were overturned two years back.

North Korean Women, Girls Banned To Be Named After Kim Jong Un's Daughter

In North Korea, women and girls are forced to change their identities if they share the same name as Kim Jong Un's daughter, Ju Ae.  The North Korean authorities asked women to change their names as naming after Kim Jong Un's 10-year-old daughter is prohibited. An anonymous source said, "Yesterday, the Ministry of Security in Jeongju City summoned women registered with the resident registration department under the name 'Ju Ae'

Delhi police have arrested four members of the Popular Front of India (PFI) over a week, following its ban, an official confirmed on October 3. This marks the first few arrested after the central government banned the organisation. Govt Imposes Ban On Broken Rice Export With Immediate Affect

The Union Government banned the export of rice with immediate effect, on September 9. The decision will have a significant impact as compared to last year, in 2022 the sown area of paddy is lower. Moreover, the imposed ban would not affect shipments, which left for India, and will be allowed till September 15. In addition, the Central Government also imposed a 20% on brown rice and husked rice.

CoA To Hold AIFF's Elections With No Voting Rights To 'Eminent Player'

Ahead of the FIFA ban, the Committee of Administrators (CoA) running football in India had agreed to hold AIFF's elections without giving voting rights to 'eminent' players.
