Uttarakhand Farmers Destroys 4.25 Acres Of Banana Crops Due To Low Prices

Farmers in Uttarakhand's Uttam Singh Nagar district were forced to destroy their banana crops planted in 4.25 acres due to low prices. Reportedly, the three brothers had invested in banana crop over the advice of horticulture officers in 2019, but failed to get buyers promising satisfactory rates. Farmers engaged in cultivation of fruits and vegetables are known to be common victims as prices fall in wholesale markets.
