Students Injured In Clash Between 2 Hostels At BHU

In Banaras Hindu University clashes occurred between students of two hostels Rajaram and Birla, while having food at the mess. Several students were injured as stone-pelting and throwing of petrol bombs took place. "Additional police force, including PAC, is on the BHU campus to enhance security,” said DCP Amit Kumar. However, the investigation is under process.

UP: Newborn Of COVID Negative Mother Tests Positive For Coronavirus

In a first of its kind incident, a COVID-19 negative mother has delivered a COVID positive baby at the SS Hospital in Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. Reportedly, the mother was tested negative during her admission on May 24, and the sample from the newborn was collected before giving it to the parents. However, a probe has been initiated and a re-test for COVID-19 has been ordered for the mother-child duo.

Neha Singh Bags Guinness Record For Largest Painting Made With Spice

Neha Singh, a student of Vedic sciences at the Banaras Hindu University has made a Guinness World record for making the world's largest painting using expired spices and natural colours. A resident of Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia district, Neha made the 62.72 sq metres painting titled as ‘Moksh ka Vriksh’ - Tree of Salvation. The painting recognized by Guinness Records broke the earlier record of 588.56 sq feet.

BHU Reopens on November 23, Core Committees Formed to Handle SOPs: Varanasi
