UP Banda Boat Capsize Incident: 12 Bodies Recovered, 3 Still Missing
Officials have recovered the bodies of 12 persons, while the search for three more is underway, in Uttar Pradesh's Banda district, following a boat mishap. The boat which capsized was reportedly carrying around 40 passengers including eight women and four children. The passengers were heading to meet their relatives on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. Meanwhile, CM Yogi Adityanath has announced Rs 4 lakh, to the kin of the deceased.

BJP Leader Shweta Singh Gaur Dies By Suicide Over 'Dispute' With Husband: UP
BJP leader Shweta Singh Gaur (35) allegedly hanged herself to death over a "dispute" with her husband, on April 27. Shweta who was a district panchayat member, was found hanging from the ceiling, at her house in Indira Nagar, said Superintendent of Police Abhinandan. The body has been sent for postmortem, and the reports are awaited. Furthermore, an investigation into the matter is underway.

2 Teachers Die In Road Accident As Truck Rams Into Them: UP
Ashok Kumar (35) and Suryabhan (40), who were working as "siksha mitras" (ad-hoc teachers), died in an accident when a truck rammed into them, on April 21. The incident occurred on the Banda-Bahraich highway in Uttar Pradesh, when the teachers were returning from a wedding ceremony on a motorcycle. Reportedly, the truck which rammed into them, toppled. After which, the driver and his helped fled the spot.

UP: AIIMS Doctors Examine Children In Chitrakoot Child Pornography Case
A team of five specialist doctors from AIIMS, along with CBI officers, reached Uttar Pradesh’s Chitrakoot district on January 14 to investigate in the child pornography case. The team has examined around 25 children who were allegedly sexually exploited by an Irrigation department engineer.
