Three persons have been booked by the police of Bengaluru for brutally beating their neighbour’s dog. The trio reportedly assaulted the dog as it got into a fight with their pet dog. The video surfaced on the internet shows heart-wrenching visuals of the trio taking turns in bashing the dog while it screams in pain. Gadirappa, the owner of the dog, also sustained injuries when he tried to intervene.

Karnataka CM Bommai Announces Free Electric Two-Wheelers For Sanitation Workers

Anti-Conversion Bill To Be Tabled In Karnataka Legislative Council
The anti-conversion bill will likely to be tabled by the Basavaraj Bommai-led government in the state Legislative Council on September 15. Election Petitions Should Ideally Be Disposed Within 6 Months: Karnataka HC
The Karnataka High Court observed that election petitions should be disposed within a period of six months, and should not be dragged. This has come as the court observed that elections petitions are usually dragged till the next election. The observation was made by Justice Krishna S Dixit in an election petition filed by Muniraju Gowda in 2018. Notably, Gowda had lost the RR Nagar assembly seat to Munirathna Naidu.

In Karnataka’s Bangalore, a 23-year-old girl after accidentally coming in contact with a live wire, died on September 6. The victim identified as Akhila, was returning home from work when her scooty skidded in a waterlogged road. When she attempted to grab an electric pole, she was electrocuted. Truck Collides With Cruiser Jeep On Tumkur Highway; Leaves 9 Dead & 11 Injured
Near Karnataka’s Bangalore, on the national highway, a cruiser jeep collided with a truck killing nine persons and leaving 11 others injured, on August 25. The accident occurred near the city of Tumkur, around 70 kms from Bangalore. Reportedly, the jeep was carrying daily wage workers, and was on its way to Bangalore. The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment.
