Jharkhand Health Minister Banna Gupta Tests COVID Positive Again
Banna Gupta, Jharkhand Health Minister, tested positive for the novel Coronavirus for a second time on January 8. He had contracted the virus for the first time in August 2020. "I was not feeling well for the past few days and got tested, the report came out positive," Gupta tweeted in Hindi. Reportedly, Banna Gupta has been isolated at his home in Jamshedpur.

Jharkhand Government To Give Rs 50,000 Ex-Gratia To Kins Of Covid-19 Deceased
Jharkhand Health and Disaster Management Minister Banna Gupta on December 8, announced of giving Rs 50,000 ex-gratia from the State Disaster Management Department Fund to the families of those who died of Covid-19. Speaking to ANI, Gupta said, "Jharkhand government will give Rs 50,000 ex-gratia to the kin of persons who died of Covid-19 in the state." Notably, a total of 5,141 people have died of Covid-19 in the state.

J'khand: COVID Patient Dies At Hospital Gate In Absence Of Medical Aid
In another instance of medical negligence in Jharkhand, Hazaribagh resident Pawan Gupta succumbed to COVID-19 complications in the parking lot of Ranchi's Sadar hospital on April 12. Following his death, Gupta's daughter wailed loud in the hospital screaming, "We kept shouting for a doctor for half-an-hour but no one came."
