Local Insurgent Killed In Short Combat With Security Personnel: Kashmir

Local insurgent killed in a short battle with security troops in north Kashmir's Baramulla region on October 28. Militants opened fire on an Army and police area dominance party near Cherdari, on the outskirts of Baramulla town, resulting in a brief gunfight. The deceased was identified as Javaid Ahmed Wani. Following the targeted killings of migrant laborers and minorities, security forces have increased anti-militancy operations.

J&K: Medical Seats More than Doubled, 50% Reserved for Female Aspirants

NEET 2020: J&K Shopkeeper's Twins Fly High With Big Triumph

In the recently declared NEET results, twin sons of a shop-owner in Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir have cleared the examination with good score. Residents of Batpora village, Gowhar Bashir and Shakir Bashir scored 657 and 651 marks respectively in the 720-mark medical-entrance test. Bashir Ahmad, father of the twins, said though he earned less from his shop, he supported his children by doing extra jobs along with his wife.

Civilians injured in Kashmir after terrorists attacked

J&K: Six Civilians Injured After Terrorists Try to Attack Army Vehicle

On August 31, six civilians in Kashmir's Baramulla district got injured after terrorists threw grenade. Reportedly, the terrorists wanted to aim grenade at an Army vehicle that was traveling from Baramulla to Srinagar. However, the terrorists missed their targets and injured the civilians. The injured were rushed to a hospital. Indian Army tweeted the live CCTV footage and informed that the area is sealed and search operation is on.
