Rajasthan's Barmer police arrested a woman, Zarina Bano, and her two lovers named Allauddin and Barkat Khan who collectively murdered the woman's 44-year-old husband Yusub on August 5. The police started the investigation following Yusub's brother's complaint that his brother is missing for days. Reportedly, Zarina was in a relationship with the men. Besides, the police gradually cracked the murder case suspecting Allauddin’s activity.
In a humanitarian move, the Border Security Force (BSF) handed over an eight-year-old boy to the Pakistani rangers, who accidentally entered India on April 2. The boy identified as Karim, a citizen of Pakistan’s Nagarparkar district entered India through Barmer border in Rajasthan. Reportedly, the officials took care of the boy, offered him food and arranged a flag meeting with pakistani rangers to hand him over.
State Bank of India authorities on February 3 filed a complaint after discovering that Rs 74.95 lakh were siphoned-off from 28 ATMs in Rajasthan's Barmer between November 22-January 5. The complaint stated unknown accused withdrew cash through 800 transactions using various ATM cards and caused power failure at the ATMs so that the machine recorded even successful transactions as failed.
