BB Lal

Indian Archaeologist and Padma Vibhushan awardee BB Lal (101) passed away on September 10. Upon hearing his demise, PM Narendra Modi paid rich tributes. "He will be remembered as a great intellectual who "deepened our connect with our rich past", tweeted Modi. Moreover, Lal was the director general of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and had found temple-like pillars during excavation at the Ayodhya site in Ayodhya, UP.
