India would tour South Africa for three-Test and three ODIs matches, informed the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah on December 4. He further said the other four T20Is which were also part of the tour will be played later. "BCCI has confirmed CSA that the Indian team will travel for three-Tests and three ODIs," Shah told ANI.

The upcoming edition of the Indian Premiere League is likely to begin on April 2 in Chennai as Chennai Super Kings were the winners of the 2021 tournament. As per a report by Cricbuzz, the fixtures of the 2022 tournament have not been finalized yet. The next IPL will have 10 teams with the addition of two new teams. Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released a report stating that the board has prohibited beef and pork in any form under the team's new rigorous diet regimen, allowing only "Halal" meat. According to the report, the board has implemented a stringent eating regimen to help players remain fit and healthy during matches. Fans on Twitter, however, accused the BCCI of pushing halal meat.
Former Australian captain 'Ricky Ponting' has expressed astonishment at Rahul Dravid's appointment as India's head coach, citing the fact that he has a young family at home. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and the BCCI have decided to conduct the canceled fifth Test between England and India, which will ''take place from July 1, 2022'' at Edgbaston. Notably, the match was canceled due to the fear of Covid-19 infection spreading inside the camp. ''We're very pleased that we've reached an agreement with BCCI,'' said the ECB's chief executive.

Bollywood couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh will reportedly bid to acquire the right of a new franchise in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL). The technology is set to be provided by the Hawk-Eye in select matches in the Super 12 phase. Further, it's reported that the ICC TV production will experience 35 cameras at all the venues.
