Bar Council Passes Resolution To Revise Retirement Age Of Judges
The Bar Council of India (BCI), has concluded that amendments must be made to the Constitution of India, revising the retirement age of judges of Supreme Court and High Court. BCI in a press statement, said that the retirement age of the judges should be enhanced from 62 to 65, and superannuation age should be enhanced to 67. The resolution will be submitted to PM Modi and Union Law Minister.

Delhi HC Dismisses Plea Seeking Financial Aid To Newly Enrolled Advocates
The High Court of Delhi dismissed a plea seeking financial assistance to newly enrolled advocates, on August 22. The petitioner had requested for a financial assistance of Rs 5,000 from the court, during initial years of practice. The petitioner also claimed that there are no rules for the allotment of chambers, and no equal opportunity to a young and passionate advocate.
