Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko Gifts Russian President Vladimir Putin Tractor For 70th Birthday
Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko gifted Russian President Vladimir Putin a tractor for his 70th birthday. This came when all the leaders of the ex-Soviet nations met at the Czarist-era Konstantin Palace in St Petersburg. Notably, tractors have been the pride of Belarusian industries since soviet times. Lukashenko told the reporters that he used a model in his garden, similar to the one he gifted Putin.

World Bank Halts All Projects In Russia, Belarus: Russia-Ukraine Crisis
The World Bank on March 2, announced halting all of its ongoing projects in Russia and Belarus with immediate effects in response to the invasion of Ukraine. "There has also been no new leading approved to Belarus since mid-2020," informed the international financial institution. Meanwhile, on March 1, the World bank announced $3 billion in support to Ukraine along with IMF's emergency assistance to the country.

Costing $2.8 Bn, India Tops Global List Of Internet Shutdowns

Belarus President Elected For His Sixth Term; People Demands Re-Election
As much as 6,000 people were detained in different cities of Belarus including its capital Minsk, for protesting against the election result as President Alexander Lukashenko was re-elected for his sixth term, with 26 year authoritarian rule over the country. Human chains were formed in order to show dissent, demanding re-count of votes. "We stand a peaceful protest," said Ksenia Ilyashevich (23) IT specialist, one among the protesters.
