Bengaluru To Observe Bandh As Farmers Protest Against Cauvery Water Issue
Bengaluru is expected to see a complete shutdown on September 26, as farmer bodies, Kannada organisations and opposition parties have called for a 'Bandh' in the city to protest against the release of water from the Cauvery river in Karnataka to neighbouring Tamil Nadu. Bengaluru Urban District Collector KA Dayanand has announced a public holiday for all schools and colleges in the city in view of the Bandh.

Bengaluru Woman Molested In Mumbai, Files Complaint
A 30-year-old woman from Bengaluru visiting Mumbai for a private party was allegedly molested by an unknown man at a Bandra cafe and bar. Instead of taking cognizance of her complaint, the resto-bar management asked her to leave the pub. Through an Instagram post, she said, “We were having a good time till I was groped by a man next to me. I caught his hand, confronted him punched him."

Viral Video Of Auto Driver Misbehaving With Taxi Bike Goes Viral
A video from Bengaluru city's Indira Nagar, in which an auto driver was seen misbehaving with a Rapido bike taxi driver, went viral. In the video that emerged on social media on March 5, the auto driver was seen throwing away the Rapido driver's hemlet and even gestured slapping him in the middle of the road. The netizens reacted to the viral video, which bike taxis are likely to ban.

Karnataka Transport Dept Bans Ola, Uber, Rapido Auto-Rickshaw Services
Ola, Uber and Rapido have been barred from providing auto-rickshaw services in Bengaluru. The Karnataka Transport Department, issued a notice to 3 companies, asking to stop their rickshaw operations within three days. BBMP Officials Slap Boy To Undergo COVID-19 Test; Video Goes Viral
The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagar Palike has drawn flak after a video of two contract officials physically assaulting a teenager to undergo COVID-19 test went viral on May 24. In the video, the boy can be seen being slapped and pushed around near the makeshift sample collection table at Dharmaraya Swamy Temple in Chickpet constituency. In another similar incident, BBMP's officials were seen harassing a man in the same area.
