Wipro Reports Declined Revenue In June Quarter, Profit At Rs 2,563 Crore
Wipro, an IT-major company reported a dip of revenue in its June quarter profit at Rs 2,563 crore, at 20.9%. As per sources, for the quarter revenue rose to 17.9% , Rs 21,528.6 crore. Its operating margin in IT services segment decreased by 200 bps QoQ to 15%. With this, the consolidated total revenue of the Bengaluru-based Wipro is 15.51%. Furthermore, in terms of dollars, revenue is $2.7 billion.

Ola Electric To Establish World's Largest R&D Facility In Bengaluru

Mysuru Kickboxer Nikhil Suresh Dies During Competition, Father Accuses Organisers
Nikhil Suresh, a kickboxer from Mysuru, perished on July 10 during a kickboxing competition held by the K1 association of Karnataka in Bengaluru. After the tragedy, his father said that the event's organizers were to blame for his son's premature death because there were no medical services present. His trainer, Vikram Mysore Nagaraj, disclosed that the event's organizer will be sued by family members.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh: Over 60 Startups Register With ISRO After Indian Space Sector Launch
Union Minister Jitendra Singh stated that over 60 startups have enrolled with ISRO following the "unlocking" of the Indian space sector. Few of them are working on space debris management programs. Other startups' concepts range from nanosatellites to launch vehicles, ground systems, and research. BDA Officers Detained For Rs 100 Crore Land Trading Scandal: Bengaluru
Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) officials were arrested on July 2 for switching valuable land bought by the authority with another plot of property, resulting in a Rs 100 crore loss, according to BDA chairman SR Vishwanath. The BDA chairman did not provide the names of the officials or the number of authorities involved. Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force (BMTF) lodged a complaint based on a BDA task force report.

Body Of Engineer Discovered In Drain After 40 Hours In Bengaluru
Rescue personnel on June 19 retrieved the body of a 28-year-old civil engineer who was washed away after falling into an open stormwater drain in Bengaluru. Mithun Kumar's body was discovered stuck in an underbridge where he was attempting to stop his two-wheeler from being dragged into the lake. The rescue team included 59 officers of state disaster response force, 24 members of national disaster response force, and 20 firefighters.
