KCR To Enter National Politics With "Modi Hatao" Agenda: Telangana

Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) is set to enter national politics, with 2024 General elections. On February 11, during a public meeting, he ended the speculation and announced to focus on "Modi Hatao" campaign. In his speech, he express disappointment with the BJP led Central Government and hoped alliance with the anti-BJP parties to fight against the BJP Government.

Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu promised to save Christianity. On February 10, in Amritsar, Sidhu took a dig against the recent action of attacking Mother Teresa, Christian missionaries under new Foreign Contribution Regulation Act. He said, "As long as I'm alive, no one can cast an evil eye on Christianity". The statement was on behalf of Congress, which hit out at PM Modi Government, during parliament for attacking Christianity.

BJP MP Demands NRC In West Bengal, Jharkhand And Bihar

A BJP MP from Jharkhand, demanded the National Registration of Citizens (NRC) for Jharkhand, West Bengal and regions of Bihar. During the zero hour of the Parliament session on February 10, Nishikant Dubey said, where he is hailed from, people are being troubled by Bangladeshi. Therefore, introducing NRC in such regions, would help the people to get rid of Bangladeshi intruders.

Allahabad HC Grants Bail To Lakhimpur-Kheri Incident Accused Ashish Mishra

Lakhimpur violence incident's main accused, Ashish Teni has been granted bail by Allahabad High Court (HC) on February 10. Reviewing the bail plea, Justice Rajeev Singh reserved the orders and granted bail. Notably, Ashish Mishra Teni, the son of former UP Home Minister Ajay Mishra Teni was accused in the killing of eight people, including four farmers in Lakhimpur, Kheri in 2021. Moreover, an SIT also found Mishra guilty.

Petrol Bombs Hurled At BJP HQ In Chennai, K Annamalai Demands NIA Probe

After petrol bombs were thrown at BJP headquarters in Chennai, President K Annamalai demanded NIA investigation. On February 10, K Annamalai said, "By 1.20 am, unknown persons have hurled three petrol bombs at our party HQ Kamalalayam in Chennai T Nagar. Police have cleaned the place where petrol bombs were thrown". Moreover, the police arrested an accused with a criminal record protesting over NEET exam. UP Polls Underway, 2.28 Crore Voters To Decide 623 Candidates' Fate

UP Assembly polls for 58 seats in 11 districts, started on February 10 at 7:00 am and will continue till 6:00 pm. A total of  623 candidates are in the fray to contest the elections. Approximately 2.28 crore voters are going to exercise their franchise today. Notably, the SP, the BJP and the INC are competing. The UP elections are to be held in seven phases, continued till March 7.

Former BJP Leaders Sudip Barman & Ashish Kumar Join Congress On Feb 8

Former BJP leaders Sudip Kumar Barman and Ashish Kumar Saha joined the opposition Congress on February 8. Notably, on February 7, they resigned from BJP in Tripura, after the BJP removed Barman from the ministry post due to anti-party activities.  Ahead of joining the Congress, two leaders met with former Congress President Rahul Gandhi and General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi.
