Election Rallies Should be On Hold Until Polls Declared In Punjab: SKM

The Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) on September 10 advised political parties of Punjab not to conduct election rallies as it impacts the campaigns by cultivators. However, the three parties including Congress, Shiromani Akali Dal, and Aam Aadmi Party disagreed with the decision. “They will face the music if they refuse to accept our appeal and it will be considered as anti-farmer," BS Rajewal president of Bhartiya Kisan Union said.

BKU Leader Rakesh Tikait Says Farmers Prepared To Stay Till May 2024

Chances of the farmer's protest coming to an end any soon are very low, hinted Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait. Stating that the farmers are prepared to protest till May 2024, he further termed the ongoing protest as an "ideological revolution". Tikait said the farmers from villages did not want them to go back until the three laws were repealed and a legal guarantee on Minimum Support Price is provided.
