PM Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various development projects in Gujarat’s Bharuch and Jamnagar on October 10. He will inaugurate phase I of Modi Shaikshanik Sankul in Ahmedabad, which is an educational complex. PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of Bulk Drug Park at Jambusar. He will lay the foundation stone of projects worth over Rs 8,000 crore in Bharuch.

Fire Breaks Out At Chemical Factory In Gujarat's Bharuch; 6 Workers Dead
In a tragic incident, a blast that triggered fire in a chemical factory in Gujarat's Bharuch district, claimed the lives of six workers, on April 11. The incidents occurred at around 3 AM, in Dahej Industrial Area, which is situated about 235 km from Ahmedabad. According to Superintendent of Police Leena Patil, the six workers died working near a reactor, which blasted during solvent distillation process.

Gujarat: Fire At COVID-19 Care Hospital Engulfs Life Of 18 Patients
In a heart-wrenching incident, at least 18 people have lost their life due to a fire at a COVID-19 hospital in Gujarat's Bharuch on May 1. Reportedly, the fire broke out at around 1 AM due to an unknown reason. While some patients were burnt alive on the spot, few succumbed to their injuries later. However, around 50 other patients have been saved by the firefighters and locals.

100 BJP Workers From Gujarat Join Congress Over Centre's Farm Laws
Around 100 BJP workers from Gujarat's Bharuch district on December 26 joined Congress to oppose the Centre's farm laws. The score of defectors, which included discontented Patidar Patels and tribals, joined the Congress in presence of the party's district president Parimalsinh Rana.
