Bhawana Kanth: 1st Woman Fighter Pilot To Appear At IAF's R-Day Tableau

IAF’s flight lieutenant Bhawana Kanth on January 26 created history after appearing with the Indian Air Force's (IAF) tableau at the Republic Day parade. She is the first woman fighter pilot to the feat. Based at the IAF's Rajasthan airbase, Bhawna flies the MiG-21 Bison fighter plane. She is also one of the first three women fighter pilots inducted into the Air Force. The tableau was titled 'Indian Air Force: Touch the Sky with Glory'.

R-Day 2021 Flypast To Debut With 1st Women Fighter Pilot

For the first time in Indian history, a woman fighter pilot will take part in the Republic Day flypast on January 26. Flight Lieutenant Bhawana Kanth, one of the first women fighter pilots in the Indian Air Force (IAF) will participate in the flypast of the Republic Day. Currently posted at a Rajasthan airbase, Bhawana who was born and brought up in Bihar, flies the Mig-21 Bison fighter plane.
