Ancient Trans Bhutan Trail Reopens For Travelers After 60 Years
The 500-year-old Trans Bhutan Trail will reopen for the first time in 60 years for travelers from April 2022. It is a 402 km trail that connects 9 districts, two municipalities, one national park, 28 local governments, and 400 historic and cultural sites. The Trans Bhutan Trail is funded by the Bhutan Canada Foundation. Travelers can explore 18 major bridges, even climb 10000 stairs, and can see the incredible eastern Himalayan region.

Bhutan Adopts India's E-Payment Gateway 'Bhim'
India’s mobile payment app Bharat Interface for Money (BHIM) has been launched in Bhutan on July 13. Besides, capsizing Bhutanese businesses, it will also aid the Indian businesses and tourists in the country to use cashless transactions. Developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), BHIM is based on Unified Payment Interface (UPI). China Is Slowly Annexing Territories Of Bhutan, Warns New Report
A report published by journal Foreign Policy stated that China, who was slowly invading its neighbour Bhutan for years, is good 8 kilometers into the country now. An Australian news site reported that China has built a town complete with roads, power plant, two CPC buildings, a communications base, military, police outposts and a warehouse. Robert Barnett of Foreign Policy stated that there is very little that Bhutan can do.

COVID-19: Bhutan To Supply 40 Metric Ton Liquid Oxygen To India Daily
The Indian embassy in Bhutan on April 27 informed that Bhutan will supply liquid oxygen to India amidst the COVID-19 led oxygen crisis. Terming the assistance as 'uniquely close and friendly' bilateral ties, 40 metric tonnes of liquid oxygen will reach Assam in cryogenic containers daily. Reportedly, the new plant which will supply oxygen received 49% FDI from Assam based Indian company Meghalaya Oxygen Private Limited.

ISRO Starts Training Bhutan Engineers For 2021 Satellite Launch
To assist Bhutan in developing a satellite, the ISRO began the phase-wise training for four Bhutanese engineers. While the Phase-1 will focus on theoretical and technical aspects, the final phase will aid the development of INS-2E satellite. To be launched in 2021, Bhutan will use the satellite to trace its natural resources and help in disaster management. Earlier, the tie-up was announced during PM Narendra Modi's 2019 Bhutan visit.

India Widens Its Air Bubble, Allows People to Visit Bhutan, Kenya
India has now extended its air bubble agreement with Bhutan and Kenya, bringing the tally to 15 countries in total.
