Red Category Alert Issued In Bihar Amid Rainfall
A red category warning asking authorities to be prepared for action to prevent disasters has been issued for parts of northeast India including Assam, Meghalaya, and Sikkim as well as Bihar as extremely heavy rain (over 20 cm) was likely there on Wednesday and Thursday. Heavy to very heavy rainfall was expected to continue in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh during the next two days, said the IMD.

Lalu Prasad Yadav Given 5 Years Imprisonment In Fodder Scam Case
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) President Lalu Prasad Yadav has been sentenced five year imprisonment with fine of Rs 60 lakh, on February 21. The Special CBI court convicted Yadav and 99 others in the fifth Fodder Scam case, withdrawal of Rs 139.35 crores, Doranda Treasury scam during Lalu's tenure as CM. The CBI Court during the last hearing on February 15, found Prasad and others guilty and reserved the verdict.

Women Exploitation At Shelter Homes Is Govt's Failure, Says Patna HC
Patna High Court took a suo moto cognizance case against exploitation of women at state run shelter homes. After 2018, Muzaffarpur incident, this is the second such case reported in Patna, Bihar, raising questions on the State Government. Considering the matter as PIL, the HC criticised the Government, saying such news are failure of government and asked the concerned officials to file action before the next hearing, on February 7.

Indian Army's Aircraft Crashes At Gaya Training Academy, No Casualties Reported
An Indian Army aircraft crashed in Bihar's Gaya Training Academy, on January 28. Notably, the crash took place minutes after the take off, informed the Indian Air Force. "An aircraft of Indian Army's Officer's Training Academy in Gaya, Bihar, today crashed soon after taking off during training," said official. Notably, two pilots survived the crash. Earlier, an Indian Army Chopper crashed in Tamil Nadu, killing General Bipin Rawat.

Bihar's Pawan Kumar Yadav has printed the RJD symbol & photograph of RJD's Supremo Lalu Yadav over his wedding card in order to express his love and respect. Female Voter Turnout Crosses Male Voters In Bihar Assembly Elections
