FIR Against Tej Pratap Yadav For Hiding Property Details In Bihar Election
In Samastipur's Rosera Police Station, an FIR was registered against Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tej Pratap Yadav for hiding property details during the Bihar Elections in 2020. The FIR came after Yadav failed to respond within three weeks to a show-cause notice issued by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT). The matter started after Janata Dal(United) registered a complaint in this regard with the Chief Electrol Officer.

Congress Leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury Lashes Out Kapil Sibal For Criticizing Party
Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, in an interview on November 18 lashed out at those criticizing the party. He said that "such leaders", should join other parties or start their own instead of 'embarrassing it in public'. He questioned why issues weren't raised to the Gandhi family with whom they supposedly 'enjoy' close relations. Congress leader Kapil Sibal had recently criticized the party over Bihar elections.

Urdu Poet Munnawar Rana Calls Owaisi As BJP Stooge, Another Jinnah
Reacting to the Bihar elections where Asaduddin Owaisi's AIMIM won five seats, Munnawar Rana, a renowned Urdu poet, said that they would not let another Jinnah to flourish in India. Rana accused Owaisi of being a BJP stooge and creating a divide between Muslims. Recently, Munnawar Rana was booked on November 2 by the Lucknow police for making controversial statements on killings in France.

War Of Words; Congress Leaders Comments On EVM Hack
Congress MP Karti Chidambaram condemned his fellow party member Udit Raj for his comments on EVM hack. Udit Raj questioned if space ships can be operated from the ground, why can not EVM be hacked. Karti responded that the EVMs are robust and added, "Whatever be the outcome of any election, it's time to stop blaming the EVMs. Reportedly, Congress' alliance is trailing in most of the seats in Bihar.

Congress Fears EVM Foul Play, Asks Leaders To Keep A Close Watch
Ahead of the Bihar elections' vote counting on November 10, Congress has asked its workers to be positioned near the counting booths to keep a close watch on EVMs as they fear "foul play". Keeping the exit poll predictions in mind, the party has also asked its senior leaders, Randeep Surjewala and Avinash Pande, to coordinate with allies. Female Voter Turnout Crosses Male Voters In Bihar Assembly Elections
For a consecutive third time, the total vote turnout of women (59.7%) was more than that of men (54.6%) in recently concluded Bihar Assembly polls. Bihar Records 55.22% Voter Turnout In Last Phase Of Elections
In the final phase of Bihar elections, around 55.22% voters cast their votes on November 7. Deciding the destiny of 1,204 candidates in 78 constituencies, around 2.34 crore voters were expected to participate in this phase. The voting percentage was comparatively lower than that of 2015 (56.66%). Voting was also held for the Valmiki Nagar constituency, which fell vacant after the death of JD(U) MP Baidyanath Mahato in February 2020.

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Announced Current Election As His Last
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced on November 5 that Bihar Assembly Elections 2020 will be his last to contest. The surprise announcement came when the three-time CM was campaigning at Purnia's Dhamdhaha for phase 3 of the elections. During the rally, the CM added in Hindi, "All's well that ends well." Phase 3 voting starts on November 7 and results will be announced on November 10.

Bihar Polls: Nitish Kumar Attacked With Onions During Rally In Madhubani
While addressing a rally in Bihar's Madhubani district for the third phase of the assembly elections, CM Nitish Kumar was pelted with onions on November 3. The CM was attacked when he was talking about employment in the state. Responding to the attack, Kumar said, "Keep throwing. You all can understand this will not have any impact." However, he did not stop and completed his speech after the guards protected him.
