Under construction, in Bihar's Bhagalpur, the bridge fell for a second time in 14 months. The visuals of the bridge collapsing dramatically, went viral on social media platforms. According to sources, at least 30 slabs of several pillars collapsed close to a 100 ft bridge. The four-lane Sultanganj-Aguani Ghat Bridge was estimated to be constructed for Rs 1,710 crores, and was under construction, connecting Sultanganj and Khagaria.

The governor of Bihar, Phagu Chauhan granted an additional charge of the 'Education Department' to the Building Minister Ashok Chaudhary on November 19. The decision came after the sworn Education Minister Mewalal Choudhary resigned due to the recent allegations. The Jharkhand High Court has postponed the hearing of Lalu Prasad's bail plea to November 27 in the Dumka Treasury Fodder Scam Case. Prasad, who was convicted in four cases, has received bail in three. His counsel, Kapil Sibal, claimed a bail citing his health and informed that Prasad has already served more than half of the sentence. However, the investigative agency sought more time to file a report on Prasad's health.
