IMD Predicts Rainfall In Rajasthan Divisions For Next Few Days

Rajasthan's Bikaner, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Ajmer, Kota and Bharatpur divisions reported over 3 cm of rainfall, in the past 24-hours. On June 22, the State Meteorological Department confirmed 5 mm rain in Bikaner, while Chhabra (Baran) and Mount Abu (Sirohi) received 4 cm and 3 cm rains, respectively. The weather department also predicted light rains in Bikaner and Jodhpur divisions on June 23-26, and in Udaipur, Kota on June 26-27.

Internet To Be Banned From 6AM-6PM For 2 Days In Rajasthan's Bikaner

Rajasthan's Bikaner Divisional Commissioner BL Mehra has ordered to suspend the Internet services in the district in 12 hours on October 23 and 24 from 6 AM to 6 PM. Reportedly, the decision came in view of the scheduled Patwari Recruitment Exam. However, the order made an exception for "Voice calls of all landline, mobile phone, all lease line and as for as possible for hospital, banks and industries."

‘Bluetooth Slippers' Priced At Rs. 6 Lakh Used To Cheat In REET: Rajasthan

Rajasthan police across the state, notably in Bikaner, busted the REET cheating scam. A group of candidates directed by the coaching center owner used calling devices hidden inside slippers to cheat in REET. Over two dozen people were questioned and 40 people have been detained. “A small battery and a SIM card were hidden under the soles of slippers. A Bluetooth enabled micro-earpiece helped them with answers,” officials stated.

Scientists Find a 172,000 Years Old "Lost" River Shedding Light On An Age Old Civilisation

Scientists from MaxPlanck Institute, Anna University and IISER Kolkata, through a research, have found evidence of a lost river which flowed through the Central Thar Desert. They believe the river might have flowed by changing meanders about 172,000 years ago and supporting Paleolithic life.
