Bilquis Bano Edhi

Following the demise of well-known philanthropist Bilquis Bano Edhi, the Indian embassy in Pakistan has expressed its condolences. A nurse by profession, she was known for her compassionate nature and charitable contributions. She served as the co-chair of the Edhi Foundation. A mother to thousands of orphans, she was dubbed 'The Mother of Pakistan.' She had reportedly been suffering from certain ailments, and had been hospitalised.
