Former Tripura CM Biplab Kumar Deb and BJP’s Gulam Ali have taken oath as the new MPs in Rajya Sabha on September 28. The oath was taken in the presence of Rajya Sabha Chairman and India’s Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. Furthermore. Biplab Kumar termed the northeastern states as “Asht Laxmi”, and said that he would follow up on the development works already begun by PM Modi.

11 MLAs Swear In As Cabinet Ministers In Tripura

In Tripura's newly formed Manik Saha led government, eleven MLAs sworn in as cabinet ministers, on May 16. Out of the eleven, nine were BJP MLAs and 2 were from IPFT. Governor SN Arya administered the oath taking ceremony. Reportedly, the portfolios of the cabinet ministers will be announced later. Sushanta Chowdhury, shortly after taking oath, said the new cabinet ministers would "fulfill the dreams" of former CM Biplab Deb.
