Birbhum Killing Case: 7 More Accused Sent To 10-Day Police Custody

In the horrific mass murder Birbhum violence case, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested seven more persons for their alleged connection in the case. A court sentenced the accused to a 10-day judicial remand for further investigation. Earlier this year, in West Bengal’s Bogtui village situated in Birbhum, ten persons were charred to death as their house was set on fire.

Postmortem Report Of Birbhum Victim Reveals Violence Before Burnt Alive

The Birbhum violence victims including women and children were badly beaten up before being burnt alive, revealed the postmortem report, on March 24.  Earlier, the forensic experts conducted tests on bodies, who were found inside houses, which were set on fire by unknowns in Rampurhat, Birbhum, West Bengal. As of now, 20 people are arrested in connection with the incident. Furthermore, CM Mamata Banerjee is also scheduled to hold meeting.

8 Burnt To Death After TMC Leader's Murder: West Bengal

In West Bengal's Rampurhat village, 7-8 houses were set on fire, killing approximately 8 people. A mob allegedly set houses in Birbhum district on fire, hours after the murder of TMC leader Bahadur Shaikh. The TMC leader was allegedly murdered on the night of March 21. The political turmoil is believed to be the reason behind the killings. Furthermore, West Bengal police formed a SIT and started investigation.
