Twitter Handles Promoting 'Biryani Jihad,' Coimbatore Police Registers Case
In a bizarre incident, a few eateries, serving biriyani in Coimbatore have bee accused of serving biryani laced with contraceptive pills to Hindu customers. A few Twitter handles made the allegations, aiming the propaganda of "biryani jihad' in the city. They also urged people not to visit such places, and to avoid eating biryani. Reacting to this, the city police has registered a case against nine such Twitter handles for investigation.

145 People Sick After Having Biryani At Assam Govt Event
Due to speculated food poisoning in Assam's Karbi Anglong district, about 145 people were hospitalized after having biryani. While CM Sarbananda Sonowal, who also attended the function, has ordered a probe, the state health minister revealed the demise of one attendee.
