NIA To Probe Ram Navami Clash Violence, Orders Calcutta HC
The Calcutta High Court ordered the West Bengal Police to hand over the Ram Navami Clash case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA.) On April 27, the HC reviewed a plea filed by West Bengal BJP leader Suvendhu Adhikari, who wanted an NIA probe into the Ram Navami clash, which occurred in the Hooghly region. The division bench ordered the State Police to hand over the case details to NIA.

BJP Leader's Wife Killed During Gunfight With Mining Mafia: Uttarakhand
In Uttarakhand, five UP police personnel and a woman were killed while chasing a mining mafia. The tragic incident occurred in an exchange of fire between cops and mafia, on October 12. Moreover, one of the killed in the encounter was BJP leader Gurtaj Bhullar's wife Gurpeet Kaur, following which villagers protested and hostage the police officials.
