Sonali Phogat, a BJP politician, died of a heart attack in Goa. Phogat, a TikTok celebrity, ran in the 2019 elections from Haryana's Adampur but lost. Captain Bhupender, Hisar BJP district president, stated, "Sonali was in Goa. I spoke to her assistant and he said that she died of a heart attack." Gnanendra Prasad, BJP member, was discovered dead at his home. When police officers from Miyapur arrived, they saw Prasad hanging from a fan. "The reason for his suicide is not known yet, but he was staying in his penthouse for the past few days," police added. A post-mortem investigation was then performed on the deceased at a nearby government hospital. A case has been filed and additional investigations are ongoing. 

Tripura CM Manik Saha, who won the by-election from Town Bardowali assembly seat, is scheduled to take oath as MLA on July 8, confirmed Tripura Speaker Ratan Chakraborty on July 4.  Furthermore, Saha also submitted his resignation as MP of Rajya Sabha to Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, after he won as the MLA. Notably, in May, Manik Saha became the first BJP CM of Tripura.

Basavaraj Bommai, the Chief Minister of Karnataka, will attend a BJP core committee meeting with other senior BJP officials. He stated that there will be conversations regarding candidates as well as a thorough discussion about developing an election strategy. He will also consider attending the Swiss ski resort town of Davos which will be hosting the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting.
