MP Elections: BJP To Release 5th Candidate List Including 25-30 Sitting MLAs

Ahead of the 2023 Madhya Pradesh elections, the BJP is set to release it's fifth candidate list. Earlier, the party announced 134 list of candidates, and on October 12 will drop 94 remaining final candidates for the elections. As per close BJP sources, 25-30 candidates will be from the sitting MLAs, whereas some will be new faces. Furthermore, a few non performing MLAs will be dropped, as people are unhappy.

Elections For 5 States To Begin On November 7, Results On Dec 3: ECI

Indian political parties including Congress and BJP, gear up for the 2023 State Assembly elections in five states, after the Election Commission of India, announced the schedule. As per the ECI announcement on October 9, the polling for five states are: Mizoram (November 7;) Madhya Pradesh Nov. 17; Chhattisgarh Nov. 7 and 17, two-phases; Rajasthan on Nov. 23; and Telangana on Nov. 30; Vote counting is on December 3.

ECI To Announce Elections Schedule For 5 States, Press Conference At Noon

The Election Commission of India (ECI) is all set to announce the polling schedule of five Indian states, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram.  The EC officials will declare the dates around at 12 noon, on October 9. MP Govt Announces 35% Reservation For Women In Govt Jobs

In Madhya Pradesh, the Shivraj Singh-led BJP Government announced 35% reservation for women in government jobs. The announcement came as a boon for women, after an amendment to the Madhya Pradesh Civil Services (Special Provision for Appointment of Women) Rules, 1997, but won't be applicable in the forest department jobs. Earlier, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced to provide 35% reservation to women in police and 50% in teaching posts.
