Over 100 Dead In Blast At Nigerian Oil Refinery

More than a hundred people have been killed in a blast at an illegal oil refinery in Nigeria. The incident occurred late in the day in Egbema. Collins Ajir, a community leader, has expressed sorrow over the incident, calling the tragic incident "unfortunate." It may be noted that cases of oil theft as well as oil pipeline vandalism are frequently reported across the country.

Suspected Blast Reported In Jammu Village Ahead Of PM Modi's Visit

Ahead of PM Modi's Jammu visit, a suspected blast was reported in the Lalian village of Bishnah area, on April 24. According to police, the suspected blast was reported by villagers in an open agricultural land in Lalian village. The matter is currently being investigated, and security checks have been initiated at the venue in Palli village, where PM Modi is scheduled to address the Panchayats across the country.

Fire Breaks Out At Chemical Factory In Gujarat's Bharuch; 6 Workers Dead

In a tragic incident, a blast that triggered fire in a chemical factory in Gujarat's Bharuch district, claimed the lives of six workers, on April 11. The incidents occurred at around 3 AM, in Dahej Industrial Area, which is situated about 235 km from Ahmedabad. According to Superintendent of Police Leena Patil, the six workers died working near a reactor, which blasted during solvent distillation process.

2 Killed In Blast At Firecracker Factory, Factory Owner Held: Virudhunagar

In Tamil Nadu's Virudhunagar at least two people died in an explosion at a fireworks factory on January 29. The incident happened at Moolipattu near Virudhunagar in Tamil Nadu on the night of January 29. Two people, Arumugam and Kupendran, have been identified and died due to the explosion. However, firecracker factory owner Selvakumar has been arrested by the police. Moreover, further details are awaited.

IED Bomb Goes Off In Manipur, No Casualty Reported

In front of a Gala mal Godown Telipati in Manipur's Imphal East, a powerful IED blast reportedly took place on December 29.  The incident took place at 3.30 am and no casualties were reported. The Police team and ballistic team of the Forensic Science Laboratory were sent to the site for investigation. "We scrutinized the CCTV footage and detected a man," said Khailet Lhanghal, Sub-Inspector of Police, to ANI.

2 Die, 15 Injured In Mosque Blast In Afghanistan's Spin Ghar District 

In a deadly blast, at least 3 people died and 15 reportedly got injured in a mosque in eastern Afghanistan's Spin Ghar district at around 1.30 PM on November 12. A resident of the area, Atal Shinwari, said, ''the explosive apparently located in the interior of the mosque.'' A Taliban official also confirmed the blast. Reportedly, Islamic State in Khorasan Province (ISIS-K) took the responsibility for the attack.

Terror Attacks In Kabul Leaves At Least 20 Wounded, 8 Dead

Terror attacks near government buildings and foreign embassies targeting the Acting Defense Minister shook Afghanistan's capital Kabul on August 3. Reportedly, the first attack took place at 8 pm local time (15:30 GMT) followed by another attack, including rapid gunfire at about 10 pm. At least 20 people were injured and eight dead. "The casualty toll could rise", said Interior Ministry spokesperson Mirwais Stanekzai.

10 Killed, Several Injured In Quarry Blast At Andhra Pradesh's Kadapa

At least 10 workers were killed and several injured in Andhra Pradesh's Kadapa district due to a blast at a limestone quarry on May 8. The Kadapa Police Superintendent K Anburajan stated that the explosion occurred when Gelatin sticks were being unloaded at the site near the Mamillapalli village. Rushing the injured to the hospital, the authorities said to investigate whether the site had permissions required to carry explosives.

Delhi: IED Blasts Outside Israel Embassy; No Casualties Reported

In a shocking incident, a low-power IED blasted outside the Delhi Israel Embassy on the evening of January 29. As per reports, no casualties have been reported yet. Delhi Police has revealed the explosive was found wrapped in a plastic bag and was kept on the pavement beside the embassy. Immediately, the area has been cordoned off, and battalions of police have been deployed near the crime scene.

1 CRPF Jawan Dead, 10 Jawans Injured After IED Explodes In Chhattisgarh

A CPRF assistant commandant Nitin lost his life on November 28 after two Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) that were placed by the naxals exploded in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district. Ten other security officials from the 206th battalion of Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) were being treated after they have been injured in the blast. Reportedly, the officials were returning from a naxal search operation during the blast.
