Unidentified Boat With AK-47, Rifles Found On Harihareshwar Shore

In Raigad, an unidentified boat with AK-47, rifles and bullets was found on the shore of Harihareshwar at Shrivardhan, said district management. On August 17, the lifeboat was found on the shore of Mauje Bhardakhol with weapons, but no person was on the boat. Notably, Harihareshwar is about 200 km from Mumbai and 170 km from Pune. The police have launched an investigation and are inspecting the weapons.

3 More Arrested In Rs 280 Cr Heroin Seizure Case

Three more people including two Afghan nationals were arrested by Gujarat ATS and Indian Coast Guard for alleged connection with the seizure of Heroin worth Rs 280 crore. The drugs were earlier seized from a boat in the Arabian sea in April, and around nine Pakistani nationals were detained. The three arrested accused include Khari Hamidullah, Mohammad Hakim and Azim Ahmed.

Pakistani Boat Crew Threw Drug Shipment In Sea, Retrieved From Gujarat's Jakhau

Border Security Force and Marine Police retrieved gunny sacks thrown into water by Pakistani boat AL Noman on June 5, which was detained by Indian Coast Guard and Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad last week. To avoid getting caught with narcotics within Indian maritime borders, Pakistani crew threw shipment of roughly 50 kg of drugs. "The Pakistani boat will now be liable for prosecution under the value of drugs," said security forces.

Indian Brand 'Boat' To Raise Rs 2,000 Crore Through IPO

Audio Electronic Brand 'Boat', will file a draft red herring prospectus for raising Rs 2,000 crore IPO, this week. As per reports, the company is eyeing a valuation of $1.5-2 billion ahead of the IPO launch. Warburg Pincus, the single largest shareholder in Boat with around 36% stake, will offload shares worth Rs 700-800 crore in the IPO. Notably, the company is expected to double its revenue by March 2022.

Delhi Govt Deploys 15 boats To Remove Froth From Yamuna

The Delhi government on November 9 deployed 15 boats to remove the foam formed in the Yamuna river with the help of ropes. The plan to remove the froth was prepared by the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC). ''The exercise will continue till the current frothing episode comes to an end,'' said an official. Reportedly, high phosphate content in detergents caused the formation of foam in the river.

Greek Authorities Continue Search And Rescue Operations Off Coast For Missing Migrants

Off the coast of the southern island of Crete, Greek authorities began a search and rescue operation on July 23, for several migrants who went missing after their boat carrying them sank due to high winds. So far Greek authorities have rescued 37 migrants including one child and a woman on the night of July 22. The submerged boat total had 45 migrants on board.

Rajasthan: Eleven Killed and Three Went Missing in a Boat Accident

Eleven people killed and three went missing on September 16, after a boat overturned into the Chambal River in Rajasthan's Bundi district. According to the reports, 35 people were sailing through the river with 15 motorbikes loaded. A compensation of Rs 1 lakh to the family of deceased has been announced by the Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot. "A case has been registered against the boat sailor and the owner," said police.
