Bomb

In Bihar's Nalanda, a bomb was hurled in the area where CM Nitish Kumar was conducting a public meeting, on April 12. Immediately after the incident, police officials rushed to the spot, to apprehend the attackers. One person has been arrested in connection with the bomb blast, reported ANI. Earlier on March 27, a man was arrested for trying to attack CM Nitish Kumar.

Security Forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district averted a great tragedy by identifying and destroying five kilos of Improvised Explosives Device (IED), on December 23. BJP MP Arjun Singh's residence at Jagatdal, approximately 100 km from Kolkata, was targeted, as three bombs were thrown by three motorcyclists, on September 8. However, no one was injured. "Tallboy"- a World War II bomb - blew underwater in Poland while being defused on October 14. Reportedly, the bomb was used by the Royal Air Force against a Nazi battleship in 1945, and was later discovered near a port in 2019. Also known as an "earthquake bomb", "Tallboy" was stuffed with explosives that were equally disastrous as around 3.6 tonnes of Trinitrotoluene (TNT). However, no one was injured in the blast.

The French Police tightened the security and blocked the areas surrounding the Eiffel Tower in Paris following a bomb threat on September 23. The police surveyed the area surrounding the tower and evacuated all the people visiting the monument. Reportedly, the search operation happened after the police received a threat via phone. Later, the tower was re-opened after the threat was found to be fake.
