Anil Deshmukh Gets Bail In Money Launder Case: Bombay HC
The Bombay High Court has granted bail to former Maharashtra Minister Anil Deshmukh in a money laundering case, registered by the Enforcement Directorate (ED.) On October 4, the HC reviewed Deshmukh's plea and granted bail to the National Congress Party member, with a bond of Rs 1 lakh. Although Anil has been granted bail, he will still remain behind the bars in the Central Bureau of Investigation case.

Bombay HC Orders Air India Employees To Evacuate Mumbai Staff Quarters By September 24
Bombay High Court has allowed time for employees of Air India and other Unions to leave their staff quarters till September 24 since Ganesh Chaturthi is widely celebrated in Bombay. The airline personnel who had been living there since before the disinvestment were sent with eviction papers, but the Bench declined to overturn them. Bombay HC Halts Construction Of Uran Bypass Road, Considering Affect On Livelihood Of Fishermen
The 11-meter wide Uran Bypass Road in Uran Koliwada has been halted by Bombay High Court. Maharashtra government was strongly chastised by HC for neglecting to perform an adequate survey before embarking on the project, despite the fact that it would harm the livelihood of fishermen. The petition was brought by 134 fishermen who used the site for fishing. The petitioners claim the bypass will jeopardize their customary fishing rights.

Bombay HC Rejects Kerala CPM State Secretary's Son's Effort To Resolve Sexual Abuse Case
Bombay High Court rejected Kerala CPM State Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan's son Binoy's petition on July 9 to settle an alleged sexual assault lawsuit involving him. Binoy and the complainant had agreed to an out-of-court settlement and asked HC to end the dispute. The Mumbai-based woman, who is originally from Bihar, approached the Mumbai Police in 2019 to register a case against Binoy for sexual assault that occurred ten years ago.

Bombay HC Directs Maha Govt To Issue Orphan Certificate For 2 Students: NEET UG 2022
The Bombay High Court reviewed a petition filed demanding "orphan certificate" for two students for the 2022 NEET Exams. The Nest India Foundation filed the petition demanding orphan certificate for two girls residing in a home for abandoned and orphaned girls in Mumbai. HC bench comprising Justices Revati Mohite Dere and Madhav Jamdar, passed the order on May 6, directing the Maharashtra Government to issue the certificate soon.

Cycle Track Construction Is Illegal, Says Bombay HC To BMC
The Bombay High Court (HC) directed the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to remove the cycle track and jogging track in the Powai area of Mumbai. Bombay HC Grants Bail To CA of Vivo Group: PMC Bank Fraud Case
Chartered Accountant of Vivo group Madan Chaturvedi got bail from Bombay High Court, Justice CV Bhadang stated that the investigation of the applicant is complete. CA Madan Chaturvedi was arrested on January 23 for being connected with Rs 43,00 Crore PMC Bank alleged fraud case. According the prosecution he was engaged in the preparation and the auditing of books of accounts of Viva Groups of Companies.
