Writers Hold Discussion Over Bengali Literature On Its Relevance In Social Media Era
During the Kolkata Literature Festival, several authors and writers discussed the relevance of Bengali literature in the age of social media. One of the poets Srijato Bandyopadhyaya said, "Covid-19 and news of deaths in the past two years have made us aware about the futility of the long term plans." Another writer Pracheto Gupta stated, "populism is no yardstick for determining the relevance of a creative piece of work".

Actor Girish Karnad's Memoir In English Version To Be Released Soon
The english version memoir of veteran actor-playwright, Girish Karnad will be released at his 83rd birth anniversary on May 19. Released in Kannada, the memoir was to be translated by the gem himself, but unfortunately, he could only translate the first part before his death in 2019. Ruskin's New Book 'How To Be A Writer' A Practical Guide For Aspiring Writers
Writer Ruskin Bond answers the most asked question in his new book "How to be a writer?” Published by HarperCollins, the book is receiving an overwhelming response. The book contains practical advice for aspiring writers in humorous Bond style. Ruskin who is in his early 80s said "there is no retirement age for writers," and adding that if he does not have the freedom to write everyday "Life would be intolerable".
