Box office collection

Shah Rukh Khan's recent release, "Pathaan" crossed a gross profit of Rs. 1,000 crores, and created history in the Indian film industry. On February 22, the movie completed almost a month and is still in theatres, making a box office collection, worldwide. The movie is not only the biggest film of SRK's career but also broke record for superhit blockbusters like "KGF: Chapter 2" and "RRR".

Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" which broke all records at the box office, is being screened illegally in Pakistan. According to sources, Pakistan fans of SRK screened the movie at a theatre for PKR 900, in a houseful theatre. A company which goes by the name of Firework Events has been organising screenings of 'Pathaan' across Pakistan. Meanwhile, the Sindh Board of Films Censor has directed Firework Events to cancel screenings.

Ponniyin Selvan I  of Mani Ratnam is breaking record with box-office collection of Rs 400 crores, on October 14. The film is not only working well domestically but is also minting money overseas. Director Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan 1', has grossed a whopping sum of Rs 200 crore worldwide in just three days of release, said makers on October 3. The film, based on eminent writer Kalki's literary classic by the same name, a Magnus Opum's work, by Lyca Productions, in joint production. The critically acclaimed superhit film along with director Mani Ratnam's Madras Talkies, had biggest ever opening in Tamil Cinema.

John Abraham and Arjun Kapoor's "Ek Villain Returns" is doing fine at box office, as the sequel of "Ek Villain" has raised Rs 7.05 crores in India on the first day, July 30. The makers took to social media and announced the day-one collection, on July 31. Directed by Mohit Suri and starring actress Tara Sutaria and Disha Patani, the action thriller is produced by T-Series and Balaji Telefilms.
