Boxing: Amit Panghal Settles For Bronze At Governor's Cup In Russia
In the Governor's Cup played in Russia, Indian Boxer Amit Panghal settled with a bronze medal after suffering a defeat in the semi-finals. Playing under 52 kg category, the 23-year-old boxer from Haryana lost to Uzbek’s Shakhobidin Zoirov by 5-0. Indian boxing contingent has bagged seven of the 10 gold medals in the 2021 AIBA Youth Men’s and Women’s World Boxing Championships held in Poland. Boxers Alfiya Pathan, Thokchom Sanamacha Chanu, Arundhati Choudhary, Vinka, Poonam, Babyrojisana Chanu, and Gitika bagged the medals in 48kg to +81kg categories.
