India's PM Is Also Important, Says BJP Appealing Opposition To Attend Inauguration

Amid the boycott parliament inauguration cry of opposition, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) appealed to all the opposition to attend the inauguration ceremony, on May 28. "We all respect the President, I don't want to drag the post of the President into any controversy today by recalling what Congress said about her. But India's prime minister is also an important part of Parliament," said BJP to the opposition.

Bengaluru Hotel Association Calls For Amul Boycott

Bengaluru Hotel associate called for 'boycott' of Amul products amid recent controversy. The criticism came after the recent statement of Karnataka CM Bommai Basavaraj regarding the entry of Amul in Karnataka markets. Reacting to the same, the association asked all the hotels to use local dairy brand Nandini, to protect the interest of farmers in the south India states, as a social responsibility.

Dalits Boycotted In Latur Over Temple Entry Dispute:Maharashtra

In Maharashtra's Latur, villagers allegedly boycotted the local Dalit community over a dispute temple entry dispute. As per reports, two Dalit youngsters entered a Hanuman temple and broke a coconut, which became a huge issue, resulting "Dalit boycott". A video of a flour mill owner refusing to grind Dalit's grain also went viral. However, the police confirmed that the dispute has been resolved following a peace committee meeting.

US Announces Diplomatic Boycott Of 2022 Winter Olympics In Beijing

The United States on December 6 announced that it would diplomatically boycott the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China. However, the US also clarified that US athletes' could attend the games. The ban has come to protest against China's human rights record. ''No-one would care about whether these people come or not, and it's no impact whatsoever on the games,'' said Zhao Lijian, China's foreign ministry spokesman.
