Free Internet Connection To 100 BPL Families By May: Kerala CM

Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan will be providing free internet to 100 BPL families in every assembly constituency by May 2022. Kerala Fiber Optic Network will provide high-speed internet for free to 20 lakh BPL families at affordable rates. "Of the 30,000 government offices, 3,019 have been given connectivity," CM said. Installation of wire of 2045 km has been completed out of 2600 km and 3000-5000 offices are added every month.

Karnataka Govt Asks To Forego BPL Card, If One Owns TV, 2-Wheeler

Redefining the definition of Below Poverty Line criteria, the Karnataka government on February 15 asked the people to forego their BPL card benefits if they own a two-wheeler, TV, fridge or five-acre land.
