42 Detained, 7 Cases Registered In Konaseema Violence Case: Andhra Pradesh

Over seven cases have been registered and 42 persons have been detained in connection to the Konaseema violence case, on May 26. The incident occurred on May 24, when locals staged a protest against renaming of the district as BR Ambedkar Konaseema. Reportedly, the locals blocked roads and set local MLA P Satish's house on fire. Arrests have been made using CCTV footages and social media clips.

Mass Protest In Andhra Pradesh Amid Renaming Of Konaseema District

In Andhra Pradesh, a violent protest broke out in Konaseema and its headquartered region Amalapuram on May 24. The mass protestors demanded to retain the original name of Konaseema, which has been recently changed to Dr BR Ambedkar. The situation worsened after a group of people set ablaze the house of an AP Minister in the Konaseema region. Moreover, the police have registered six cases and detained 46 people.

Arvind Kejriwal Announces 16-Days Musical Play Dedicated To BR Ambedkar

Arvind Kejriwal led Delhi Government announced 16-days grand musical event, dedicated to BR Ambedkar. Starting from February 25, the event showing life of BR Ambedkar will continue till March 12. The AAP Government said, the production with 100 feet stage will be the largest production globally, with Bollywood actor Rohit Roy, playing Babasaheb.
